We are happy to inform you that Spirus Medical, LLC will continue to manufacture the Endo-Ease Discovery® SB and Endo-Ease Vista® Retrograde over-tubes. You can continue to place over-tube orders through Spirus Medical LLC. We are however, presently in a backorder situation. Once your order is available for distribution we will notify you as to when you will receive your products. After the backorder is resolved, orders can be expected to ship by the next business day.
Spirus Medical will be able to provide additional product training and on-site sales support for our spiral over-tube technology on a limited basis. Dear Customer,
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that Spirus Medical, Inc. was acquired by Olympus Corporation on July 1, 2011. As a result of this transaction, Spirus became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gyrus ACMI, Inc., a consolidated subsidiary of Olympus based in the U.S.
Spirus is highly complementary to the Olympus portfolio of endoscopic devices. The combination of Olympus’ world renowned endoscope technology and Spirus’ technological proficiencies in developing devices which aid in the insertion and advancement of endoscopes for upper and lower endoscopy will support Olympus’ strategy of exploring new innovations for future generations of endoscope products.
In the near term, all remaining inventory of Endo-Ease Discovery® SB and Endo-Ease Vista® Retrograde over-tubes will be distributed through Spirus Medical LLC until the existing product inventory is exhausted. After which time the over-tubes will no longer be available.
